The Head of the Dragon: Officer, Vic

I received a txt for AT20 Franna Crane Hire Melbourne and a couple of pictures one night and the txt read “We need to hire a Franna to lift the Head and Neck of a Dragon on Wednesday at 9.00am, can you do it?” Well, I thought, so why not?

Our 20t Franna crane on hire lifting the neck section.I arrived on site with our AT20 Franna at the corner of Flanagan Street and Koba Way in Officer, a south eastern suburb of Melbourne at 9.20am. Sure enough there was a Dragon Head, the Neck and two Wings to install. But there was still a bit of work to be done before they could be lifted so I went to the site office to be inducted onto site.

Fitting the head with our 20t FrannaInduction over and back out to complete a SWMS. With the SWMS sign off we proceeded with the first lift which was the neck. This had to be placed onto two legs that had already been bolted into position. After a bit of adjustment the legs got tacked in place and the base was bolted a concrete footing that had already been prepared. The footing was 3 metres deep I heard. An A-frame was placed and braced under the top section for support while the head was being installed.

Great work from “AGENCY OF SCULPTURE

Fantastic Playground for the kids of Officer.            Our Franna Chane on hire to lift Dragons neck, head & wings.

The Head was carried over to the area and set at the required angle so that it could be attached to the Neck section. With two legs installed under the chin of the Dragon the head was bolted down as well as bolted to the neck. After that the two wings were stood on either side of the rib area. Our AT20 Franna Crane Hire Melbourne completed yet another job to the satisfaction of the customer.
