Council said this carport had to be demolished or moved.

The owners bought the property and about 7 years later the council demanded that the carport was built without a permit and in the wrong place. I was called in to lift it as the posts were cut and reposition it about 8 metres to the right and turned 90 degrees.

Upon arrival on the chosen day it took about half an hour to set it up by utilising the spreader bar which comes with the crane and some slings.

The posts were cut using a chainsaw and it was then moved over to the new footing brackets that had already been installed. The job was completed successfully within about an hour or so.

The client was wrapped that it was done with care and that they had potentially saved demolishing or dismantling the carport which was otherwise perfectly sound.
